Erich Gandet Quintet
The Erich Gandet Quintet has been playing together in the same formation for more than 25 years. These five Swiss gentlemen know each other very well, which explains their enormous musical tightness and complexity on stage. With the group’s musical influences ranging from the 1960’s bebop to contemporary American jazz, their unique style might be termed as laid-back, swinging mainstream jazz. Upon consistent request of their fans, the band released their first CD, self-ironically entitled «The Groov(t)y Samba» (In the Swiss dialect, «groovty» relates to the «not-so-young» among us). «That Very Moment» is the group’s second CD, which was recorded with the young jazz singer Marianne Benz.
